WICKERSLEY DENTAL PRACTICE

TERMS AND CONDITIONS Dental surgeries are expensive places to run, each surgery within the practice costing in excess of £150.00 per hour to keep open. If patients fail to attend appointments or cancel at short notice, such that another patient cannot fill the time, then the practice has to pay this expense.

In order to keep costs as low as possible, a charge will be made to those that waste clinical time (at a rate of £15.00 per 15 minute slot as a contribution to our fixed expenses). This will apply to all patients that do not follow the procedure for cancelling appointments below.

To cancel an appointment of up to 30 minutes in length, we require 24 hours’ notice. This includes appointments for private examinations and scaling appointments for which 30 minutes is allocated.

To cancel an appointment of more than 30 minutes, we require 48 hours’ notice.

Your dentist will recommend an appropriate frequency of attendance for examinations and hygiene visits. These recommended intervals are designed for your benefit and individual treatment needs, we strongly advise that you observe them. Patients who do not attend within two years from the previous examination date will be regarded as no longer registered by the practice and will require a new patient extensive consultation to re-register.

Payment is required at each appointment for work carried out. We accept cash, delta/switch, MasterCard, visa and cheques supported by a guarantee card.
